    ·    Oversee and manage the day-to-day functions of the AS400 Operations group

    ·    Provide direction to the AS400 Programming team

    ·    Review, develop, configure, test and maintain new software for window environment.

    ·    Add new features and enhancements in the software upon clients’ needs or requests.

    ·    Ensure the AS400 Operations team provides hardware and software technical support for the client sites and main offices.

    ·    May provide verbal and written reports in assigned areas of responsibility

    ·    Interfaces with CBPS Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance organizations

    ·    Research and execute special projects as required

    ·    Other duties as assigned by Director



    ·    Intermittent physical activity including reaching, prolonged periods of sitting, bending, or lifting (up to 50lbs)

    ·    Ability to manage several projects simultaneously

    ·    Domestic and International Travel – approx. 5%

    ·    Mental qualifications include ability to perform all tasks assigned regarding AS400

    ·    Good Organizational skills


    To be eligible for this position, the applicant must meet the minimum qualifications. Deviations to this requirement must be approved by the Compensation Manager and VP, Human Resources


    ·    BE (Mechanical), ME (Industrial Engineering and Management) or comparable work experience

    ·    Management of staff

    ·    Experience in either competitive product environments or end user environments

    ·    Expert ability to make good decisions based on combination of analysis, experience, and professional judgment

    ·    Expert in research, gather, arrange, compile, interpret, summarize, and evaluate complex and intangible data


    ·    MS Access, Visual Basic for Application (VBA), SQL

    ·    Visual Basic, Oracle 8.0, C++, Unix


    ·    Excellent Aptitude or experience in software programming or project management

    ·    Solid troubleshooting skills

    ·    Communicate effectively with diverse groups and clients

    ·    Excellent verbal and written skills

    ·    Excellent presentation skills

    ·    Work with peers and team to establish departmental decisions, processes and ensure standardized activities

    ·    Strong organizational skills and the ability to quickly assess and prioritize

    ·    Ability to manage difficult clients, employees and situations
