    Responsibilities

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for providing financial analysis reports to management. This position prepares financial statements and journal entries.

    • Assists the supervisor in the accumulation and analysis of information for preparation of financial statements, ledgers and reports
    • Assists in the monthly and year-end reconciliation
    • Reconciles vended work, temporary help, and security deposits
    • Ensures financial information reported is complete and accurate
    • Creates journal entries and performs account analysis
    • Reconciles accounts and analyses the P&L Creates payroll flash reports
    • Provides financial reports to management as requested
    • Computes, prepares and maintains journal entries for fixed assets Performs bank reconciliations to the general ledger
    • Assists users to solve operating problems.
    • Recreates steps taken by user to locate source of problem and alters program to correct errors.
    • Reads manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn ways to develop programs that meet user requirements.
    • Maintain or exceed the company’s quality standards for all assigned tasks.
    • Must be able to handle high levels of stress and be congenial to other customers, clients, employees at all times
    • Performs other job assignments as specified by the Section Supervisors/Senior Finance Manager

    Qualifications

     

     

        

    EDUCATION

    ·   Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably with a focus in Accounting or Finance

    EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

    ·     Prior related work experience

    EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE

    ·     Basic office equipment – will train, if necessary

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    ·   Basic knowledge of Windows 95/98, WP and Spreadsheet packages

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    ·   Ability to ensure that quality and production standards are met

    ·   Ability to handle stress and conflict

    ·   Ability to meet deadlines and understand that time is involved

    ·   Ability to resolve customer issues and take responsibility for work performed
